Common Questions

Botox FAQs

How many units will I need?
It depends on the areas you're treating and how strong your muscles are. Forehead lines typically take 10 to 20 units. Frown lines (11s) usually take 20 to 25. Crow's feet are about 10 to 15 units per side. Dawn will give you a unit estimate during your free consultation before any treatment begins — no surprises at checkout.
How much does Botox cost at Dandelion?
Botox and Dysport are $12/unit for 50 or more units, or $13/unit for smaller treatments. The number of units depends on which areas you're treating and your muscle strength. Dawn will give you a realistic estimate during your free consultation before any treatment begins.
Is there downtime after Botox?
No. You can return to normal activity immediately. Avoid strenuous exercise, lying flat, or rubbing the treated area for four hours after treatment.
Can I get Botox if I recently had a vaccine?
Dawn recommends waiting at least two weeks before or after any vaccine before receiving aesthetic treatments.
How do I know if I need Botox, Dysport, or Letybo?
All three are neuromodulators that relax facial muscles. The differences are onset speed, purification method, and price. Dawn will assess your skin, goals, and anatomy during your consultation and make a personalized recommendation. There's no pressure to decide before you've had a chance to ask questions.
How often should I get Botox?
Most patients come in every 3 to 4 months. Regular treatments help train the muscles over time, meaning some patients need less product with consistent maintenance.
